so could we pl have this as a diffrent main topic so we can have diffrent sub tpoics
2 indivudual projects
3 and or maybe instead of projects a help froum where people can ask for ideas and help

5 members intro (well we can always look at their states but ...)

we could add another one for inovations

could we have a froum for technologies and inovations???
also we should have a main bare next to action for past events so we could write small articles on them and post some pictures

OK. I think technologies and innovations should be discussed in Issues. What do you reckon? I'm hesitant to clog up the home forum page too much. And maybe VISEN and forum improvement could go into campaigns? I'll see if I can make a sub forum...

we should have a main page for past events so that we can show what we are up to and how we help other people to participate in such events. On the link page we could have links to other school enviro networks (if they are running), and enviro games

Hey everybody,

Last VISEN meeting I went to (on the 1st of Feb.) I told Rachel I would look into the SBS Foundation, which is like a tangent of SBS that is "doing its bit" for charities and community organisations by offering for a certain number of applicants $2 million to air advertisments for that organisation on SBS over a certain amount of time...

but, if you can't be bothered going to that, then basically what it says is that our organisation has to have a clear plan and set of future campaigns so that ads can be made and that, in the event that we are accepted, we have someone who can work as a partner with the ad-making people. At least that's the gist I got. There are a few problems that could arise in meeting the criteria, but...

I'd love to hear your thoughts on whether it's a good idea or not!

Um... so I think we've encountered a problem with the whole SBS ad thing. It says in the guidelines that "The SBS Foundation does not provide partnerships for any of the following: ... • Political causes, candidates, organisations or campaigns".
If we're going to be advertising something like the petition, does that mean we are a "political campaign"? It also said that they weren't support "• Organisations whose primary purpose is to influence legislation."
I was going to email them but it doesn't seem worthwhile if VISEN doesn't really meet many of their requirements... Also, they say that in the event we were selected they wouldn't "provide creative or production resources to partners".

i think the sbs thing might be a bit too ambishous for us but maybe we can recomend it to other groups such as aycc.
