CLONARD COLLEGE'S SUSTAINABILITY DAY!

Hey all you VISENers
We had some replies on the other topic so I thought it might be a good idea to create a new one to get any volunteers to let us know here instead.



On Thursday 4th December running from approx 9am - 1pm we are having a Sustainability day at our school and would love anyone from VISEN who can or would like to come and give us a hand.

We will be doing things like planting Indigenous plants, basket weaving, paper pots, preparing a waste bin proposal, a seasonal cooking workshop, garbage art, abseiling off the year 10 building and are also getting hold of a range of speakers.

We are holding this day for Year 7 - 10 (the remainder of the school at this time of year.

Clonard is up in Geelong (about an hour and a half or so I <i>think</i> out of Melbourne), so that would be the only issue. The V-Line trains run pretty much straight there and we can arrange to pick you up at one of the Geelong Stations.



If anyone is interested at all, please don't hesitate to let us know. Our teachers seem keen to get you involved and not only would it be good to get some more awareness about VISEN but we'd also really appreciate any help we can get.

no that would be great if you could come, the more people we can get the better!

We're also getting a heap on NGO's in to set up little stalls about what they do and to bring along any petitions and such they have at the moment.

Do you think we want to set up our own little VISEN stall too?

hey guys,
our sustainability day is this thursday so could anyone who's interested pretty please confirm that they're coming by wednesday at the latest cos our vice principal needs a list of names of who's coming.

we've arranged to have whoever comes picked up from north geelong station. but cos kayla and i are both hopeless with public transport could someone please arrange a train to catch? school starts at 9:00am you wouldn't have to be here right on 9 but as close to the start of the day as possible without you guys having to get up too early to catch a train.
