guerilla action!

Post  Maja on Tue May 26, 2009 4:43 pm

i came across a grand idea the other day, while surfing the net.
you know those vacant lots and small patches of dirt next to trainlines? wouldn't it be cool if they were planted with indigenous plants? but that would take too long. so, someone come up with the idea of using seed balls to vegetate such areas.
you just walk past casually, chuck a few of them onto the ground and keep walking. just make sure they are actually indigenous species and such.
here you can find out how to make them: http://www.pathtofreedom.com/pathproject/gardening/seedballs.shtml
and for indigenous seeds, try ceres, i know they have indigenous seedlings and things, they must have seeds too.

That's fabulous! I'm far too lazy to actually make the seed balls though, and I imagine others are too...

Do you think there are people that you could get them off already made?
