Hi guys how have you been. I feel so bad for not being active. No excuse. Just as I temporarily seemed to have left VISEN the co leaders of my school group are warming up to the idea. They seem to start VISEN up again.

We are having an inter School environment conference with 100 plus people from different schools on the 6th of august. Speakers, workshops and enviro food. The whole idea is so socialise while getting educated/ motivated. Of course it’s not going to be anything near ...

Hey all you VISENers

We had some replies on the other topic so I thought it might be a good idea to create a new one to get any volunteers to let us know here instead.

On Thursday 4th December running from approx 9am - 1pm we are having a Sustainability day at our school and would love anyone from VISEN who can or would like to come and give us a hand.

We will be doing things like planting Indigenous plants, basket weaving, paper pots, preparing a waste bin proposal, a seasonal ...

I had completely forgotten about it until now, so if no one is able to it's fine, but ...

the teachers at school have asked for someone from LEAP to come and talk about their experiences and how inspiring it was because we're studying sustainability at the moment. I guess they think it will seem a bit more official if someone who's not a student there comes and talks. We're having another speaker too who works in the field of environment, but other than that I don't know any details. It's on ...

Worried about climate change? Want to make a difference?

This December must be a defining moment in international climate change negotiations or Australia and the rest of the world will be in serious climate trouble! So… we need to get the message out there. We are looking for volunteers to help us and we have a range of jobs available that can fit your time commitment.

So who are we?

We’re Megan and Kirsty from the Australian Youth Climate Coalition (AYCC) and we are coordinating ...

Hey guys,

Queries have been floating about regarding hosting of files; usually forums such as this have limited scope, but there's nothing stopping you hosting your files elsewhere... (One less job for our admin peeps too)

For files/photos/videos:

Try: KAZupload

Select Public Upload if your fine with your stuff being released into the web for eternity...

OR Register (don't worry, there's no SPAM etc) - for more controlled use of your stuff online!

Then, just copy + paste ...

(Discussed at LEAP08)

The tracking system for emissions and stuff. Looks great. Do pass this around.

The program: http://schoolenergysavings.com.au/

The system itself: http://www.carbonetix.com.au/wwx/measure-and-track/sets

The NT and TAS governments have provided free access to this... Perhaps a campaign to push Brumby!?
