VISEN MEETING MINUTES- 30th August

AYCC

Discussed the general joining with AYCC…decided that it’s a good idea in general, but that we’d like to keep our name and websites (but link to and from the AYCC page of course), but are happy to take on AYCC projects and send people onto them once they finish school.

Meeting Time

Jordan can’t make the Sunday meeting coz he works.

Saturdays don’t work because lots of people are busy.

Have decided to see if we can have it at his café, in his lunch break.

Rachael suggested meeting less often, say, once a month, but was shot down spectacularly by everyone ☺

Campaigns

We decided we needed a campaign, coz otherwise we’re boring.

Ideas we came up with were:
-People in the middle of the city on beach towels
-Banners on tram railings
-Picnic in carparks


We were rather taken by the picninc idea, and at this point broke off brainstorming.

Picnic

Plan to arrive at 6am on the 7th of Oct.

Nikkola- is going to check Astroturf pricing
Nikkola and Maja- are going to ask the police questions
Rachael- is going to figure out legal aid
Pheobe-is designing a beautiful poster.

Slogan: Don’t Drive Over Your Future

Also are going to have the VISEN banner…

Maja and anyone else- is going to bring picninc rugs
Everyone- is going to bring food

Signs and flyers (directing older people to other websites) are going to be discussed next week. Also will discuss media then.

Also, if they try to kick us of, we are going to demand our parking money back

Hazelwood

Pheobe- is going to find out travel arrangements for going up on the Sunday. She will post them on the forum.

We will have our next VISEN meeting either on the train there or back. More info to follow

Rachael- is going to organise a bank account
Rachael- is going to talk to Hilary about t-shirts
