Bio Fuels

More then meets the eye

I am not to keen on the idea of bio fuels. Growing crops for the use of fuel sound a little outrageous when there is so much hunger and poverty in the world. The world population is growing. Food and bio fuel demands are increasing and around 60% of the worlds population are malnourished (I believe this figure includes over and under nutrition). The large amounts of resources used such as the size of land and amount of water required for this process sounds a little ridiculous. Using crops such as corn to make ethanol increases the prices of other foods by 10-30%. There needs to be a realistic balance between food supply and bio fuel use. In an ideal world everybody’s nutritional needs would be meet first and any left over crops could be used to make bio fuels.

Bio Fuels really are wolfs in sheep disguises.
The world, especial the US and EU really didn’t think when implementing large scale Bio fuel use.
Bio Fuels contribute to rising food prices, which results in more people and countries stuck in poverty who can’t afford to protect the environment when they are starving. More land including high conservation value areas such as the Indonesian rain forests are being cleared for bio fuel crops.
Also there is even dough in how carbon neutral the fuel really is.
This is truly sustainability gone wrong. The worst thing is that they blame it on the greenis which is partially correct, but what’s even worse is that the US and EU are sticking to their targets and now we have to fight to correct something that was supposed to be a good thing. Antisustainabilatists will also use this to put any other environmental ideas into doubt.
Bio fuels are not environmental saviours but killers. This is a classic example how the world simply rushed to a conclusion without thinking about it.
Yet bio fuels can be use full besides in destroying the world. The diesel engine was originally designed to run on vegetable oil. Bio fuels should still be used in really small scale unharmefull ways such as using used vegetable oil and other bi products.
Also the furute of bio fuels looks good in the bactiria department witch may produce real green awsome bio fuels

I wonder if u could turn Cane Toads into bio fuel???????
