POWERSHIFT/VISEN/MHS/REGRET/IM BACK/

Hi guys how have you been. I feel so bad for not being active. No excuse. Just as I temporarily seemed to have left VISEN the co leaders of my school group are warming up to the idea. They seem to start VISEN up again.
We are having an inter School environment conference with 100 plus people from different schools on the 6th of august. Speakers, workshops and enviro food. The whole idea is so socialise while getting educated/ motivated. Of course it’s not going to be anything near Leap but it should be fun if we are able to pull it of. Coming back to VISEN. My co leaders though it would be a nice recruitment platform. Will be sending out invitations soon. I’m not sure which school groups we are inviting officially inviting but I’m sure that small groups can just come along. Oh yeah should also be free.

Any ideas fro guest speakers? We thought of having a small VISEN presentation as well.


Our school group is going all right. Motivated leaders but our members are a bit sluggish. However the are around 10 plus of us going to power shift (this numbers is a results of numerous factors there are multiple school trips happening at the same time and more…) . Its going to cost us a bit less then 300 bucks. Will most likely catch up the bus with MGC as they have some spare seats and the train on the way back for 65 bucks.
How are you power shifting? How should we promote visen at power shift?

i get the feeling noone has really been active, so you don't need an excuse.
the inter-school environment conference thing sounds awesome! good luck with that. if you need someone from visen there, i'll be happy to come along (will be back from germany by then).
it sounds like the environment group at mhs is going really well. the one at uni high never started up, as soon as i got teachers and members and stuff organised, i left, which sucks. but i think the src is doing a bit of environmenty things at the moment, so maybe i can start the environment group of from that...
visen should definitely have a thing at power shift, or at least a noticeable presence there. have there been visen meetings lately and stuff? i can try and recruit some people to go under the banner of visen, even if they aren't actually members, but it's hard because visen is for secondary school students, and it's often hard for them to get permission and enough money to go somewhere like this. well at least you're going andrej, who else is going?

Ok heres whats happening with us. There is a school group going but at the monemt due to serveral people dropping we only have 5 confirmed. Not enough to register as a group so we decided to open our "group" to poeple besides our school. So if anyone is going to pwershift and they are not in a group and would like to safe money (group, tranport, accomucation,food) let me know asap. We want to get in the early bird by the first of the month. Or does anyone else have a group going we might be able to join? we were thinking of join macrobn if they let us and then only as adminestration, this is sort of a last option idea. Im not sure whats happening wiht macrob they seemed very disapoainted by the fact that the concert is over 18.

Ok our plan: 9th -14th the first and last days are for travel and the thenth would be spent exploring sydney.
Transport: either small grey hound bus depening on numbers, train 130 both ways or catchin the bus there with MCG (notsure) and taking the train back.
Food; Vegan/ vegetarien - buy in sydny as cheap as pos
Accomitadtion: we were eying some place at kings cross, the idea nayway is to get a large cheap room for everyone or two seperate rooms. (the gender issue springs to mind which realy depends who has intrest)
Not parents or teachers comming along.

the poeple in my group would aslo be willing to champion VISEN. But we have represent MHS also.
